Terms and Conditions: Step 1 ECD Centres October 2021 Lucky Draw

  1. The Step 1 ECD Centres October 2021 Lucky Draw (“The Competition”) is operated by GW Foundation (NPO number 161-786NPO) trading as GROW Educare Centres.


  1. The Competition runs from 1 October – 30 October 2021 (the competition period).


  1. The Competition is only open to ECD Centres that have enrolled for Step 1 of the 5 Steps to 5-Star Programme and who have NOT yet used the learner and staff attendance feature. Any Early Learning centre in South Africa may register here to participate and join the Competition.


  1. To qualify to win, a Step 1 ECD Centre has to:
    1. Load all their staff and learners on their Giraffe App
    2. Complete staff and learner attendance for a minimum of 15 consecutive working days during the competition period.


  1. We will enter all qualifying ECD Centres into a random lucky draw. The lucky draw will be hosted by GROW Educare Centres using a random winner generator.


  1. Individuals who have won prizes in previous lucky draws during the past 6 months cannot win, and will be excluded from the lucky draw.


  1. The prizes for the lucky draw are as follows:
    1. One grand prize: R1000 Shoprite/Checkers voucher plus and Education Hamper worth R1 000 containing educational toys and equipment.
    2. 2 runner-up prizes: R250 airtime vouchers each.


  1. Winners will be announced by 12 November on our WhatsApp, email and social media channels, and the winner will be contacted telephonically.


  1. In the event that a winner cannot be successfully contacted within 2 working days, following all reasonable attempts to do so, we reserve the right to disqualify the winner from the Competition and elect another winner in his or her stead. We encourage all ECD Centres to ensure their contact details are up to date on their Giraffe App since this is the contact details we will use to call winners.


  1. The winner may be disqualified from the Competition if there is any evidence of fraud or data manipulation.


  1. The judge’s decision and winner selection is final. No correspondence will be entered into.


  1. The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, non-exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash. The prize cannot be split or shared.


  1. GROW Educare Centres collects and uses personal information about entrants to allow them to enter competitions, comply with audit requirements in terms of the Consumer Protection Act and to determine the winner(s) for the competitions. We may use the winners’ names and/or images in marketing material but winners will always be informed of this beforehand and will be given an opportunity to refuse to permit any use of their names and/or images.


  1. By participating in the Competition, the winner agrees to indemnify GROW Educare Centres and hold us harmless against any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind in connection with this Competition or resulting from acceptance and participation in the Competition including, without limitation, personal injuries, death, and property damage and claims based on, defamation or invasion of privacy.
