- The Grow ECD October 2023 Online Training Lucky Draw (“The Competition”) is operated by GW Foundation (NPO number 161-786NPO) trading as Grow ECD.
- The Competition runs from 12 October – 10 November 2023 (the “Competition Period”).
- The Competition is open to any teacher, ECD centre owner, or principal who is a Grow Giraffe or Meerkat app user (“The User”).
- Only early learning programmes in South Africa may participate. To access the online training, the centre owner/principal must download the Grow Giraffe app and create an official account for the early learning programme. The training is available through the app’s My Tools function. The app is available to Android users only via the Google PlayStore.
- To qualify to win, the User must:
- Complete the “Fundraising for my Preschool” course, available on the Grow ECD Academy, between 12 October 2023 and 10 November 2023. Any late completions will not qualify.
- If the user has completed the course previously, they will automatically be added to the lucky draw.
- The User will receive one entry into the lucky draw. Multiple entries are not possible.
- We will enter all qualifying Users into a random lucky draw. The lucky draw will be hosted by Grow ECD using a random number generator.
- Individuals who have won prizes in previous lucky draws during the past 6 months cannot win and will be excluded from the lucky draw.
- The prizes for the lucky draw are as follows:
- There will be five lucky winners: 1 from the Free State, 1 from the Eastern Cape and 3 from the other South African provinces.
- Each winner will receive an R500 Shoprite Checkers voucher to use towards the early learning centre’s stationery or food requirements.
- Winners will be announced by 17 November on our WhatsApp, email and social media channels, and the winner will be contacted telephonically.
- In the event that a winner cannot be successfully contacted within 2 working days, following all reasonable attempts to do so, we reserve the right to disqualify the winner from the Competition and elect another winner in his or her stead. We encourage all Users to ensure their contact details are up to date on their App since these are the contact details we will use to call winners.
- The winner may be disqualified from the Competition if there is any evidence of fraud or data manipulation.
- The judge’s decision and winner selection are final. No correspondence will be entered into.
- The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, non-exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash. The prize cannot be split, shared or replaced if lost.
- Grow ECD collects and uses personal information about entrants to allow them to enter competitions, comply with audit requirements in terms of the Consumer Protection Act and to determine the winner(s) for the competitions. We may use the winners’ names and/or images in marketing material but winners will always be informed of this beforehand and will be given an opportunity to refuse to permit any use of their names and/or images.
- By participating in the Competition, the winner agrees to indemnify Grow ECD and hold us harmless against any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind in connection with this Competition or resulting from acceptance and participation in the Competition including, without limitation, personal injuries, death, and property damage and claims based on, defamation or invasion of privacy.
